Photobiomodulation/ Cold Laser Therapy at Edge Therapies in Sarasota, FLorida
You've tried everything.
This is something different.
A 5-day intensive designed for the children who are working hard in therapy — but whose nervous systems need more than traditional therapy can give them.
You've sat in waiting rooms. You've practiced at home. You've celebrated every small win and quietly cried in the car after the hard appointments.
You know your child is capable of more. You can see it. But something between what they're capable of and what they can access right now isn't bridging the way you hoped.
That gap isn't a failure — yours or theirs. It's often a sign that their nervous system needs a different kind of entry point. One that works with how their brain is actually built, not how therapy traditionally expects it to be.
What if the missing piece wasn't more of the same therapy — but a fundamentally different way of reaching the brain?
Edge Therapies' Neuroadaptive + PBMT Intensive combines two science-backed approaches to help children access breakthroughs that weekly therapy alone often can't achieve.
How It Works
Two approaches that work better
together than either does alone.
Photobiomodulation Therapy — also known as cold laser therapy or low-level light therapy (LLLT) — uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular energy production in the brain and body. This non-invasive, painless treatment supports neuroplasticity, reduces neurological inflammation, and enhances the brain's capacity to form new connections.
When combined with evidence-based speech and occupational therapy, PBMT can help accelerate the pace of therapeutic progress in ways standard therapy alone cannot.
The Neuroadaptive Approach
Instead of asking your child's nervous system to comply with a treatment model, this approach meets them exactly where they are. It reads real-time cues — regulation, arousal, readiness — and adapts moment by moment. The result is therapy that doesn't fight the nervous system, it works with it, creating the conditions for real learning to happen.
Photobiomodulation Therapy
Also called cold laser or low-level light therapy, PBMT uses specific wavelengths of light to fuel cellular energy in the brain and nervous system. It's non-invasive, completely painless, and backed by a growing body of research supporting neuroplasticity — the brain's ability to form new connections. Think of it as priming the brain to be more receptive to everything that happens in therapy and in the world around them.
When you prime the brain with PBMT and then deliver neurologically-informed therapy immediately after, you're not just treating the symptoms — you're giving the brain the conditions it needs to actually change.
Is This the Right Fit?
This intensive was built
for children like yours.
It's a strong fit for children ages 2–18 who are already in therapy but plateauing, newly diagnosed and ready for a strong start, or whose families want to maximize progress during a focused window. It tends to be especially powerful for:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Speech and language delays/ Apraxia of speech (CAS)
Sensory Processing Disorder
Developmental delays
Regulation and attention challenges
Motor coordination difficulties
