Program 1: Pre-Reading Foundations
Ages: 4–7
Duration: 6 Weeks | 45-Minute Weekly Sessions
Location: Our new office in Sarasota, FL
This program is perfect for children who are preparing to read and need to develop the skills that come before phonics instruction. We focus on phonological and phonemic awareness — the critical foundation for reading success.
Your child will learn:
How to recognize and produce rhyming words
How to identify the first, middle, and last sounds in words
How to segment and blend syllables and sounds
How to listen for patterns in language
By the end of the program, your child will have the tools and confidence to move into early reading instruction with a strong foundation.
Program 2: Word Reading – Level 1 (Foundational Closed Syllables)
Ages: 5–10
Duration: 6 Weeks | 45-Minute Weekly Sessions
Location: Our new office in Sarasota, FL
This program is for children who already know their letter sounds but need help connecting sounds to symbols and building accuracy and fluency with simple words. Using an Orton-Gillingham-based approach, we teach your child how to:
Read and spell closed syllable words (short vowel sounds)
Decode 3-sound and 4-sound words
Tackle common digraphs like /sh/, /ch/, and /th/
Build confidence reading short sentences and passages
The skills in this program create a solid pathway toward advanced decoding, spelling, and comprehension.
