From a Small Mobile Practice to Our New Sarasota Pediatric Therapy Clinic

When I first started Edge Therapies, I never imagined how much it would grow in just a few short years.

What began with a small caseload and a vision to provide high-quality, individualized pediatric therapy services has grown into something so much bigger than I could have imagined — and today, we are so excited to officially welcome families into our new Sarasota pediatric therapy clinic.

For years, Edge Therapies primarily provided community-based speech and occupational therapy services in homes, daycares, schools, ABA clinics, and natural environments throughout Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Venice, and surrounding areas. That flexibility became one of the things families appreciated most about our practice because therapy could happen where children naturally learned, played, communicated, and interacted.

As our practice continued to grow, so did the vision.

We knew we wanted to create a space that would allow us to expand services, collaborate more closely as a team, offer specialized programs, and provide families with an environment intentionally designed to support regulation, communication, movement, learning, and connection.

Our new Sarasota clinic was created with that exact goal in mind.

Every detail of the space was designed to feel modern, calming, welcoming, and child-centered. From our private speech and occupational therapy rooms to our sensory room and group spaces, we wanted to create an environment where children feel supported and families feel comfortable the moment they walk through the door.

This new space also allows us to continue expanding specialized programs, including our NeuroEdge Intensive Therapy Programs, which integrate speech therapy, occupational therapy, sensory-based interventions, and photobiomodulation (also known as low level light therapy).

One of the things I am most proud of is that while we are growing into a larger clinic setting, we are still staying true to the heart of Edge Therapies.

We continue to offer select community-based services in homes, daycares, schools, and other natural environments because we understand that every child thrives differently. Some children benefit from the structure and sensory support of a clinic setting, while others make the best progress in environments they already know and feel comfortable in.

Our goal has never been to fit children into one model of therapy. It has always been to create individualized support that meets children and families where they are.

Opening this clinic feels incredibly full circle.

There were moments over the last several years that felt overwhelming — building a business while still treating clients, navigating growth, hiring a team, learning how to lead, and taking risks before feeling fully ready. But through every stage, the mission stayed the same: to create a practice that provides exceptional care while genuinely supporting families and therapists alike.

Seeing children walk through the doors of this new clinic and watching our therapists collaborate in this space has already made every late night, challenge, and leap of faith worth it.

We are so grateful to every family, therapist, referral source, and community partner who has supported Edge Therapies along the way.

This is only the beginning, and we are so excited for what is ahead.

If you are looking for pediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, autism support services, literacy intervention, sensory support, or intensive therapy programs in Sarasota or surrounding areas, we would love to connect with your family.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
