After a comprehensive language evaluation, we can determine the nature of the language disorder. We treat late talkers, receptive/expressive language disorders, and gestalt language processing.

  • Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy focuses on helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in their daily activities, such as play, school, and self-care tasks. Occupational therapists work with children who may have challenges related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, coordination, attention, and social interactions. Through personalized interventions, including play-based activities and exercises, occupational therapists help children build confidence and independence in their abilities, ultimately promoting their overall development and success.

  • Orton Gillingham

Orton-Gillingham is a structured, multisensory approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. Developed by Samuel Orton and Anna Gillingham, it's designed to support individuals with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. This highly individualized method breaks down language skills into smaller, manageable parts, incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques to enhance learning and memory retention. By providing explicit instruction in phonics, phonemic awareness, decoding, and encoding, Orton-Gillingham helps children build a strong foundation for literacy success, empowering them to become confident, proficient readers and writers.
